Thanks :) Still trying to figure out what works and what doesn't. lol. It's my first manipulation. With the softened focus and shadows my intent is to draw a bit of attention away from the details in the drummer and hydrant, and focus a bit on the emptiness around. The hydrant is there to add colour contrast and provide left framing.

Thanks :D You wouldn't believe how hard it was to take this photo from across a busy downtown street during rush hour and not get a car in sight. lol. was standing out there forever! :lol:

Well in that regard maybe sharpen it just a tad? I understand what you are trying to convey though - but the shot I think does it in itself. It's a lovely composition.
